GIBSON CJ165 Maple Acoustic/Elec w/HSC EXCELLENT !!: Beautiful Gibson CJ165 acoustic/electric guitar with original Gibson hardshell case. All in great shape. Some very light pick/fingernail marks across the top. You really need to tilt the guitar and look across the top to see them. Otherwise very nice shape. Factory built in pickup. The volume control is in the sound hole and the end pin is the input jack. This is nice because there is nothing seen to take away from the beauty of the instrument. This was built in Montana in early 2000. I can track the exact date if it is important. It sits here in my no-smoking house and is rarely out of it's case. Maple sides, back, and neck. Gibson Southern Jumbo Deluxe Acoustic Guitar: Gibson SJ Deluxe Acoustic Guitar. I think this was manufactured in the mid 70's. Ser # 687481 Made in Kalamazoo, MI. Mother of pearl inlay (Gibson on the head as well) Original tuners. I bought on ebay about a year ago and had a professional luthier reset the neck and bridge. I paid around $1200 for this guitar, but it deserved the resets and definitely needed them. The work cost me $550.00 and was worth every penny for this guitar. This guy does most of the work for the Syracuse Orchestra and he is real good. The neck is straight with a nice low action and no buzzing. The sound from this is absolutely incredible.
