This guitar has a "one-off" custom finish that came out of the Gibson Custom Shop in 2004. Serial # CS 40386. Weight 8 pounds 7.5 ounces (3.85 kg). Ebay did not like my original comparison to a "certain guitar video game", since this guitar is not licensed as such (which I never claimed that it was). As a result, I've had to relist the item with some changes. Epiphone/Gibson Les Paul Custom Sparkle Body w/ mods: I've been the owner of this guitar for the last 8 years. It's worked very well for me. The tone wasn't up to par from the set up that it had when i bought it, so i replaced the pickups and pots (knob controls or potentiometers). The pots were stock with 250Ks and i replaced them all with 500Ks. There is a Seymour Duncan -Jeff Beck pickup in the bridge position and a Gibson USA standard pickup in the neck position. The Jeff Beck has a great lead tone (very hot pickup) and the Gibson has a great tone for warm, thick, blues tones. The action was also adjusted for great speed and intonation along the fretboard.
